Vadsite
Vadsite is a multi-purpose catheter accessory; a closed needleless I.V. system permitting blood sampling, intermittent injection or continuous infusion of fluids or medications.Vadsite can be connected to all intravenous devices comprising a female Luer-lock hub (catheters, ramps of stopcocks, stopcocks, extension tubes, Huber needles used with implantable ports…).

Vadsite is a needleless access device which prevents needle-stick injuries, the risk of air embolism or blood loss.The device automatically closes when the infusion line or syringe has been disconnected.On Vadsite, it is possible to connect all intravenous devices comprising a male Luer or male Luer-lock end (syringes, infusion sets…)Vadsite is resistant to lipids and most disinfecting agents used in hospitals.Vadsite is approved for use with power injectors.
Vadsite code 898.03 is supplied in a soft blister pack (without protective cap in the male cone).Vadsite code 898.038 is supplied with a cap (covering the cone of the male Luer end). Packaging : supple blister pack.
Vadsite is lipid-resistant.
Vadsite is approved for use with powers injectors (CT-scan).Maximum pressure resistance : 350 psi (24 bars).To inject contrast medium products (Visiopaque 320 mg iodine/ml), the flow rate has been measured as such :29 psi (2 bars) : > 5 ml/s73 psi (5 bars) : > 10 ml/s
